Accessibility Statement

The German version of this statement is authoritative; this English translation is provided for convenience.
In short
We build this website for everyone.
Velvet Vizion is committed to making this website accessible in line with the European Accessibility Act (and Germany's BFSG) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Accessibility isn't an afterthought for us — it informs every decision.
1. Conformance status
This website substantially conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. “Substantially conforms” means most requirements are met, while some content is not yet fully compliant. We keep the limitations below in the open and are working to resolve them.
2. Measures in place
Accessibility informs every design and engineering decision. Concretely:
- semantic HTML with a single <h1> per page and a correct heading hierarchy;
- full keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator and a “skip to content” link;
- contrast above the targets — body text ≥ 7:1 (AAA), captions ≥ 4.5:1 (AA);
- respect for prefers-reduced-motion — decorative motion is turned off entirely;
- meaningful alternative text; purely decorative graphics are marked as such;
- correct language marking per locale (German/English) for screen readers and hyphenation;
- forms with associated labels, clear error messages, and a visible required-field status.
3. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not (yet) be fully accessible:
- Embedded third-party content (e.g. appointment booking) loads only after your consent; its accessibility partly depends on the respective provider.
- Journal articles may occasionally contain images whose alternative text we are continually refining.
We review the site regularly and fix reported barriers as quickly as possible.
4. Feedback & contact
Noticed a barrier, or need content in a more accessible format? Email us at kontakt@velvetvizion.eu. Please name the page affected and describe the problem as precisely as you can; we usually reply within one working day.
5. Enforcement procedure
If we do not respond to your feedback satisfactorily, you may contact the market-surveillance authority responsible under Germany’s Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). We ask, however, that you first give us the chance to fix the problem directly.
